Indication

Heat excess in both the exterior and interior. This can be caused by either wind-heat invading a patient with pre-existing internal heat, or from external wind-heat which lodges in both the exterior and interior at the same time.

Symptoms will include strong fever and chills, dizziness, light-headedness, red and sore eyes, difficulty swallowing, bitter taste in the mouth, dry mouth, nasal congestion with thick sticky nasal discharge and saliva, glomus with a stifling sensation in the chest and diaphragm, constipation, dark, rough urination. Tongue coat is yellow and greasy. Pulse is flooding, rapid or wiry, slippery.
