Tai Ping Hui Min He Ji Ju Fang (1078-85)
For the condition known as excess above and deficiency below, meaning Kidney deficiency with exterior invasion in the Lung. Presents with coughing and wheezing with watery, copious sputum, stifling sensation in the diaphragm and chest, shortness of breath, hard to inhale and easier exhalation. Tongue coat is white and slippery or greasy.
Could also present with pain and weakness of the lumbus and legs, edema of the extremities, and/or fatigue.
Preparation note: Grind to powder and take in 6g doses as a draft. Dosages in parentheses are for decoction.
