Induce Vomiting to Discharge Phlegm
Discharge phlegm or food stagnation via vomiting
Shang Han Lun (Eastern Han - approximately 200 AD)
In this condition, phlegm clogs the diaphragm and upper chest, or stagnant food lodges in the upper epigastrum. There may be firm areas of glomus in the chest, vexation, difficulty breathing, and possibly a sensation of Qi rushing to the throat. Pulse is slightly floating at the distal position.
