Indication

The source text recommends this formula for treating pain in the upper arm that is a consequence of phlegm-dampness in the upper burner that moves horizontally to enter the channels and collaterals. Presently, it is used for periarthritis of the shoulder, frozen shoulder, miscellaneous shoulder pains, and neuralgia of the upper arm. It can also be used in patients with phlegm-dampness who experience any type of painful obstruction anywhere in the body with the addition of guiding herbs.
