Jin Gui Yao Lue (Eastern Han - approximately 200 AD)
For severe cold stagnation, presenting with sudden epigastric and abdominal pain and distention with extremely intense pain. Rough, uneven breathing, bluish complexion and absence of bowel movements. In severe cases there may also be syncope and mandibular tetany. Tongue is bluish-purple with white coating, pulse is submerged and tight.
PREPARATION NOTE: Grind herbs to powder and use 0.3g-1.5g taken with lukewarm water. The above dosage is NOT for decoction.
