For noncommunication between Heart and Kidneys, or Heart and Kidney yin deficiency with deficient heat. Signs and symptoms include palpitations, anxiety, irritability, fatigue, insomnia with restless sleep, five centers heat, problems with concentration, forgetfulness, nocturnal emissions and dry stools. There may also be mouth and tongue sores, low-grade fever, and night sweats.
Tongue is red with little coat, pulse is thin and rapid.
